At Beaumont Power Yoga we
honor the power of yoga to strengthen our health, burn calories,
build flexibility, and bring calmness and peace to our busy
minds. Using a flow-based practice in a hot room (about 90
degrees), we heat up the body from the inside out and work
the cardiovascular system. During the flow, we use our own
body weight to challenge ourselves with strength poses, allowing
us to incorporate weight training in each class. We do this
by breathing through stretches and becoming aware of the sensations,
thus helping us stay present. We also seek to create a yoga
experience that inspires our hearts and awaken a thirst for
wisdom in its many forms.
Our teachers will guide you skillfully through yoga's beautiful
postures and transformative practices. Our intention is to
create a welcoming, comfortable environment where we can all
be kindled by yoga and other creative arts, bringing greater
clarity and inspiration to our daily lives. We believe that
yoga is a practice that can benefit everybody, and so we invite
beginners as well as seasoned yogis to participate in all
classes. The ability to keep the mind challenged, while remaining
calm, is a skill that can help us reduce stress and become
happy on a daily basis.
